After a few weeks away, the Popcorn Muncher Podcast is back, hosted by Patrick Wilson, with Luke Stevenson and Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.
We have a lot to catch up on in terms of reviews this week, leading with Jason Statham taking on a massive, prehistoric shark in The Meg. There are also reviews of the new Winnie the Pooh adventure Christopher Robin, Denzel Washington‘s first ever sequel The Equalizer 2 and The Festival, which sees part of the team behind The Inbetweeners getting back together.
In the news section, we chat about Danny Boyle‘s departure from the upcoming 25th Bond movie and the full trailer for Luca Guadagnino‘s mad-looking remake of Suspiria. We also find time to chat about the bizarre revelation that Netflix is pressing ahead with a sequel to the much maligned Death Note. To end the podcast, Tom leads a quiz pitting The Denzel against The Stath.
