It’s a battle of the beach-bound box office bombs on this week’s Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Luke Stevenson with Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.
There are reviews of the terrible Baywatch reboot, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, as well as the almost equally poor Disney sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge, in which Johnny Depp returns as perma-sozzled pirate Jack Sparrow. It’s simply a question of which movie makes us want to throw ourselves overboard more – a genuinely touch choice.
In honour of the Baywatch reboot, we also discuss our top five favourite movies adapted from television shows. In terms of news, there are two big trailers for star-studded mystery thriller Murder on the Orient Express and family comedy Paddington 2, as well as the revelation that horror auteur Adam Wingard will sit in the presumably enormous director’s chair for Godzilla vs. Kong.
