Our main review is Phantom Thread, which sees Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis join forces once again for what is believed to be the latter’s final movie. We also review legal drama Roman J. Israel, Esq., which has nabbed Denzel Washington an Oscar nomination, and Helen Mirren-led horror movie Winchester. There’s also chat about The Cloverfield Paradox after its surprise Netflix release.
In the news section, we discuss the first trailers for Solo: A Star Wars Story and the equally anticipated Venom. We then chat about the news that the creators of Game of Thrones are set to make their own trilogy within the Star Wars universe. To finish things off, Tom leads a quiz about two of this year’s nominees for Best Director at the Oscars.
