The bizarre cult horror movie Attack of the Adult Babies is arriving on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as digital download, in June. It’s a weird descent into a strange nightmare world of grotesque satire and delightfully lo-fi splatter, helmed by Dominic Brunt – best known as Paddy the village vet in Emmerdale.
I got the chance to sit down with Jake West, co-founder of Nucleus Films, to chat about the release. Nucleus is an independent company devoted mainly to releasing new editions of classic cult films and video nasties. Attack of the Adult Babies is the company’s first foray into backing a brand new release, so Jake told me all about what inspired them to take this step. We also spoke more broadly about horror as satire and the world of scary movies.
