
It’s blockbuster time yet again, as Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives into cinemas, marking Disney and Lucasfilms latest return to the galaxy far, far away. The film sees Alden Ehrenreich take on the iconic title role and brings the audience on a whistlestop tour through the most famous deeds of the space outlaw, prior to the moment he joined forces with Luke Skywalker.
Here, I take a look at how Solo caters to the fanboy instinct of wanting to fill in all of the narrative gaps created by throwaway dialogue in the original trilogy.
