We’re talking coming-of-age stories on this week’s Popcorn Muncher Podcast, hosted by Patrick Wilson, with Luke Stevenson and Tom Beasley – editor of The Popcorn Muncher.

We go in depth to have a second look at Margot Robbie‘s controversial ice skating movie I, Tonya before delivering a review of Lady Bird, which follows the relationship between Saoirse Ronan‘s bizarre teen and her mother, played by Laurie Metcalf. It’s the movie that got writer-director Greta Gerwig right into the Oscars mix and it would certainly have been an interesting winner.

In a busy news section, we discuss the latest developments regarding Quentin Tarantino and his Manson-themed movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, as well as rumours that Kristen Wiig could play the villain in the Wonder Woman sequel. We also take a look at the trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet and pay tribute to James Bond director Lewis Gilbert. To round things off, Luke pits Slumdog Millionaire against The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in the quiz.
